The Utrecht Network Research Management Task Force is pleased to invite you to the 11th Annual Research Managers’ Workshop, hosted by the University of Latvia in Riga from Tuesday, 2 June to Thursday, 4 June 2026. The workshop will take place at the House of Science, Jelgavas iela 3 (Level 8, Room 804), bringing together research management professionals from across the Utrecht Network for three days of exchange, collaboration and practical learning.
Theme 2026
“Simplify to Amplify: Practical Ways to Streamline Research Management”
The programme will explore how research management and support structures can become more efficient, effective and impactful. Key topics include:
- Lump-sum funding in higher education
- AI applications in research support and proposal assessment
- Research and impact evaluation
- International collaboration in changing geopolitical contexts
- Strengthening cooperation within the Utrecht Network
The workshop will combine expert presentations, facilitated discussions, hands-on sessions, institutional exchanges and networking opportunities — including a guided tour of Riga and social events.
Participation
Each Utrecht Network partner organisation may nominate one representative to attend. Members of the Task Force may bring one additional participant, with costs covered by their institution.
